Ground rules for our franchise ( Not so much rules, but common sense to ensure the franchise is fun for everyone): also keep in mine this is a rough draft and not yet finalized. But these basic things are required.
1. WE ARE A SIM LEAGUE/FRANCHISE. Anything that you do not see on Sunday is not allowed,hopefully this does not need to be explained. But just in case, things like going for it on 4th downs when in FG range or long yardage situations(even 4th and 1 on your own 40 you should always be the bigger man and punt unless the game is on the line or you are far behind etc.. Reasonable calls in reasonable situations is what is expected.
2. NO CHEESE! This is the number 1 ground rule for our franchise, or number 2....... Meaning running the same play over and over is cheese. If you found a weakness in your opponents defense wouldn't it be best to just save that play for 3rd downs anyway? I wouldn't call them "money plays" since Patriots run fade routes in the end zone to Moss and its almost always 6, pick your poison. Other things that include cheese "rocket catching", running around with your QB for no reason( scramble if you must but don't let it become a habit, unless you have a terrible line =p. There is a lot more things, that hopefully i wont have to point out.
3. STICK WITH THE FRANCHISE. If you plan on quitting after a few losses then leave now. Everyone should try to play at least 1 game every two days. Seriously if you know your busy as hell and plat your ps3 once a week, then maybe this isn't the franchise for you. Also Just cause someone is online doesn't mean they are available to play. They maybe watching a movie or something. Besides if you suck ass you can look forward to that #1 pick
4. DISCONNECTS/GLITCH ISSUES. A touchy issue. At this point we will assume all DC's are unintentional (who knows your baby sister could step on a cord and fuck your game up, it happens.) But, it is entirely up to your opponent on whether they want to count the game or not. Don't let it become a habit either. Also no bitch shit like asking for friendly quits right after they ripped a 75 yard run in your ass. Some times things come up but its entirely up to your opponent whether they believe you or not, don't get mad if they refuse.
5. TRADES/FA SIGNINGS. A very tender issue. All trades must be approved by franchise commissioners. There will be no CPU teams so bad trades should not be an issue. Don't expect to trade Mario Williams for Nate Kaeding, expect those types to be rejected. As far as FA's we will do it by team rating as in the worst teams will get first shot at signing FA's down through the list (we can change these systems as needed). Hopefully you can trade draft picks, but it's up to you to decide their worth, but late in the season those higher picks will have more value, remember that.
6. NOT SO MUCH FOR THE TENDER HEARTED. Meaning If you are partial to cursing and trash talking etc, we may not be the league for you. This by no means means that you should send people hate messages etc, some guys like me are cool with it and will talk shit back in the spirit of fun and a good time, just don't let it get out of hand IE racism and such.
7. NO HUDDLE OFFENSE. Real NFL teams like the colts run it occasionally when not in the two minute warning so this is accepted BUT running the no huddle all game or more than 25% is absolutely unacceptable.
8. DEFENSIVE ADJUSTMENTS. Make your adjustments within reason. But don't go bringing your linebackers and safeties to the los every play and running the same defensive play all game. If this is you, then this is not the league for you.
9. YOU CAN BE KICKED OUT FOR CHEESING. One complaint you've been cheesing shame on you. Two complaints shame on the admins for continuing to let you do it, 3 complaints your out. Don't worry though everyone will debate on what it was and you will always get fair say, then again this should never even be an issue
10. HAVE FUN! How great will it be knowing you don't have to send a corner every play because your opponent likes to run out the pocket with Romo and throw bombs every down off his back foot
